A BIT ABOUT THERAPY

Equinovate Therapy Services offers mobile based occupational and speech therapy along with utilizing Hippotherapy as a treatment strategy in an integrated treatment plan that is tailored to your child's exact needs. Hippotherapy uses equine movement to achieve functional outcomes with daily life such as sitting, standing, balance, coordination and strength due to conditions that may include but are not limited to decrease or impaired balance, poor/low muscle tone/coordination, poor postural asymmetry and postural control.

How does a horse help?

A horse is similar to a human's gate pattern and provides sensory input thru movement; repetitive, rhythmic and variable thru the pelvis. It is combined with other treatment strategies to achieve goals.

Meet Jackson:

Jackson is a quarter horse that is extremely special to Equinovate Therapy. He is our first ever therapy horse and he loves kids. His favorite trick is taking kid's hats right off their head! If you look at Jackson, you will notice he is different and has a scar on his left leg because he had an accident when he was little because he ran thru a fence to get to his momma when he was younger! We chose Jackson for many reasons for our company but the scar he has makes him different and that's what we are about at Equinovate.
